May was full of wonder, colour and hands-on fun at Little Miracles Wamberal.
This month’s update shares some of the beautiful learning moments happening around the centre, from butterfly life cycles and ice play to new friendships, painting and mark making.
Watching Butterflies Take Flight
The Mighty Meteors loved learning about the life cycle of a butterfly this month.
The children watched closely as another butterfly was released, bringing lots of excitement and gentle curiosity. It was a special way to see nature up close and talk about growth, change and caring for living things.
These little moments of wonder help children slow down, notice details and ask thoughtful questions.
Smash, Crack, Rescue
The Amazing Asteroids had a chilly, exciting time with ice play.
Using hammers, the children worked to smash the insects out of ice blocks. Through this hands-on activity, they explored cause and effect, problem solving, coordination and teamwork while sharing plenty of laughs.
It was noisy, cold and very fun.
Shining Stars Settle Into The Year
The Shining Stars have been busy making friendships and exploring their new yard.
They enjoyed fun activities, craft, obstacles, sandpit play and lots of dancing. These experiences helped the children build confidence while getting to know their space, educators and friends.
It was a beautiful start to the year, full of movement, connection and happy little moments.
Little Angels Make Their Mark
The Little Angels explored mark making with paint and plenty of cheeky smiles.
Using their fingers, they created different markings on glad wrap while building fine motor skills. The activity gave them space to touch, press, smear and explore colour in a playful way.
There were lots of giggles, curious faces and proud little artists.
Growing Through Wonder And Messy Play
May had a lovely Wamberal theme: learning by doing.
From watching butterflies fly away to cracking ice, dancing with friends and painting with fingers, the children were busy exploring the world in real ways. These playful moments support confidence, curiosity and connection while keeping each day full of joy.
