About us

Our Story:
Family Owned and Operated for Over 20 Years.

In 2004 our founders Rob and Susanna Bateman were looking for a business opportunity – one through which they could make a big difference in people’s lives.

Both passionate about helping families and encouraging children, Rob and Susanna looked at many businesses before deciding that childcare was the way to go, and Little Miracles was born!

Rob had worked in a corporate position at Scholastic as the Director of Finance and IT for over 29 years. Susanna had spent her time as a stay-at-home Mum, as well as being actively involved in community work with children, youth and women through their church and child abuse prevention service.

Rob and Susanna’s four children, and 1 of their 13 grandchildren, have all joined the business within the last 13 to 20 years, holding various roles. In 2023, after 19 years of carefully leading and growing Little Miracles, Rob and Susanna decided that it was time to move into retirement, entrusting the business into the hands of their four children. Ben, Anna, Michael and Dan look forward to continuing the vision set out by Rob and Susanna; ensuring all families, children, educators, and anyone who interacts with Little Miracles understand they are extremely valuable and full of potential.

With the ongoing support of their parents, the siblings look to both honour the rich legacy of Little Miracles and embrace the growth that lies ahead. With confidence in the brightness of the future of Little Miracles, they remain steadfast in their dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of all children, families and staff in our community.
