May was full of care, creativity and hands-on learning at Little Miracles Tuggerah.
This month’s update shares some of the lovely moments from around the centre, from Mother’s Day treats and maths through art to National Simultaneous Storytime and reconciliation mark making.
A Sweet Thank You For Mother’s Day
May began with a special Mother’s Day celebration for the wonderful mums, grandmothers and mother figures in our Tuggerah community.
Families were invited to enjoy a small gift bag filled with pamper treats or teeny tarts made by One Tiny Tarts. It was a simple way to say thank you for the love, care and support they give every day.
These little gestures help children see how kindness and appreciation can be shared in small but meaningful ways.
UNO Cards, Counting And Colour
The Mighty Meteors Pink children mixed maths and art in a fun dot painting activity.
Using UNO cards, the children matched, counted and created with colourful dots. They worked on number goals while also building focus, fine motor skills and confidence through play.
It was bright, busy and full of clever little problem solvers.
National Simultaneous Storytime
The Amazing Asteroids Pink and Purple children joined in National Simultaneous Storytime for 2026.
They listened to Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller and knew they were reading along with children in schools, preschools and libraries across the country. The story opened up conversations about courage, teamwork and trying something new.
It was a lovely shared moment that helped the children feel part of something much bigger.
Reconciliation Mark Making
The Radiant Rainbows Pink children explored colours, fine motor skills and controlled hand movements through a reconciliation mark-making sensory tray.
They used bright materials, symbol cards and careful movements to explore culture in a hands-on way. The activity gave children time to look, touch, create and build early understanding through play.
It was a thoughtful experience that supported curiosity, respect and connection.
Small Moments With Big Meaning
May had a clear theme at Tuggerah: learning through connection.
From celebrating loved ones to counting with cards, reading together and exploring culture through sensory play, the children had so many chances to build skills in real and joyful ways. Each activity supported confidence, care and curiosity while keeping learning fun.
