Meet Salt and Pepper: Tuggerah Welcomes Two Miniature Horses

August at Little Miracles Tuggerah came with hoofbeats.

Two tiny new residents moved in, big career dreams took flight and little explorers packed their suitcases. Here’s the month that was.

Welcome Home, Salt and Pepper

The month’s biggest news stands about waist-high and has a beautiful mane.

We were so excited to officially welcome Salt and Pepper, our two adorable miniature horses, to the centre! Our little friends are already bringing so much joy, excitement and curiosity to the children.

Beyond the cuteness, they’re creating wonderful opportunities to learn about kindness, responsibility and caring for animals. Judging by the parent comments, the excitement extends well beyond the centre gates.

A Beautiful Day in the Yard

Mid-month brought one of those perfect winter mornings.

The Shining Stars, Amazing Asteroids and Mighty Meteor Silver yard was set up and ready: a construction site in the sandpit, complete with diggers, dump trucks, cones and ramps.

Ready to explore, create, imagine, and of course, say hello to our beautiful ponies. It was always going to be a happy Tuesday.

Little Explorers, Big World

Over in Asteroid Pink, a brand-new project got underway: Little Explorers, Big World.

The children kicked things off with a suitcase activity, carefully choosing and pasting what they’d pack for their imaginary adventures.

It’s a project built to stretch their skills and open up their imaginations, one packed suitcase at a time. Where to first, little explorers?

When I Grow Up, I Want to Be…

The Amazing Asteroids Purple spent the month dreaming big about the world of careers.

From brave police officers and caring doctors to a museum curator and future superheroes, the children explored what they want to be when they grow up, with their dream jobs proudly written on their hands. One little fairy-in-training included.

Their dreams are as big as their hearts, and it’s a beautiful reminder that with a little imagination, the possibilities are endless.

Small Ponies, Big Dreams

August at Tuggerah was a lesson in thinking big.

Two small ponies opened up big conversations about care and responsibility. Small suitcases carried big imaginary journeys. And small hands, marked with words like “police officer” and “fairy”, held the biggest dreams of all.

That’s the thing about little people: nothing about their dreams is little. Our job is simply to make room for them, ponies and all.
