Congratulations Laini! A Diploma Celebration at Little Miracles Terrigal

August at Little Miracles Terrigal began with a graduation and ended in a week of costumes.

In between: dinosaurs, rainbow fish and a whole lot of pride. Here’s the month in full.

Our Laini Completes Her Diploma

The month’s proudest moment belongs to our Amazing Asteroids room leader, Laini.

Laini has completed her Diploma, and we could not be prouder! She’s such an asset to our Terrigal team, and the best news is she’ll be continuing right here at Terrigal as a diploma-trained educator.

Flowers, cuddles from her little fan club and a flood of congratulations from families said it all. Well done, Laini!

Handprints Go Prehistoric

Mid-month, the Shining Stars were deep in their dinosaur interest project.

Paint pots at the ready, the children turned their own handprints into stegosauruses, complete with spiky backs and googly eyes.

Our Shining Stars have been loving every roar-some minute of it. Who knew hands could look so Jurassic?

Book Week Has Officially Started!

Then the calendar’s most anticipated week arrived: Book Week 2026!

Day one saw the Amazing Asteroids arrive in their book week best, with a full squad of little superheroes striking their strongest poses, favourite books in hand.

The costumes were amazing, the excitement was real, and the week was only just beginning.

Rainbow Fish to the Rescue

Book Week magic reached our littlest learners too.

After exploring the outdoors, the Little Angels gathered on the deck to hear the story of the day, ‘Rainbow Fish to the Rescue!’.

Then came the creative part: each little friend got their own playdough to make rainbow, sparkling sea creatures, sequins and all. A school of tiny masterpieces.

A Week of Costumes, Remembered

As Book Week 2026 wrapped up, the Mighty Meteors took a look back at all the amazing costumes shared through the week.

Princesses, fairies, superheroes, a very official little paramedic: day by day, the children brought their favourite characters to life.

What a week it was. Same time next year, everyone?

A Centre Where Everyone Keeps Learning

August at Terrigal made one thing beautifully clear: the learning never stops, at any age.

The children learned about dinosaurs, rainbow fish and the joy of stepping into a story. And their room leader showed them what learning looks like all grown up, walking out with a Diploma and walking straight back in to keep teaching.

When children see the grown-ups around them still growing too, that’s a lesson no book can teach. Congratulations again, Laini.
