April was a bright and busy month at Little Miracles Niagara Park.
From Easter visits and hat parades to bug hunting, sensory play and thoughtful gifts for our educators, the children had so many chances to learn, laugh and connect with the people around them.
Easter Stories, Dancing And Sweet Surprises
Niagara Park started the Easter celebrations with a special visit from Anna, who brought the spirit of Easter to life for the children.
The children learned about the meaning of Easter using wooden symbols, then joined in a fun, interactive dance. There were lots of little hands involved, plenty of curious questions and a lovely sense of excitement as the story unfolded.
To finish the visit, the children received Easter egg chocolates to share with their friends. It was a sweet way to bring everyone together and celebrate kindness, joy and friendship.
Fresh Fruit And A Kind Easter Surprise
The Niagara Park team also received a thoughtful Easter surprise, with fresh fruit delivered for the educators to enjoy.
Anna, Ben, Matt and Byron helped brighten the team’s day with a kind and generous gesture. The colourful fruit boxes were full of bananas, pineapples, apples, grapes, pears and Easter treats, making the office feel extra cheerful.
It was a lovely reminder of the care and community behind Little Miracles. A small act of kindness can make a big difference, especially during a busy and exciting month.
Radiant Rainbows Had A Hoppin’ Good Time
The Radiant Rainbows had a wonderful Easter week filled with colour, creativity and hands-on fun.
The children showed off their creative hats at the Easter Hat Parade, explored an Easter-themed sensory tray, and painted their own adorable bunnies. It was a week full of colour, imagination and happy little faces.
These activities gave the children space to create, explore textures and proudly share their work. Easter was not just about the finished craft, it was about the fun of making, trying and celebrating together.
Busy Bugs And Big Curiosity
The Shining Stars kicked off their new project, Busy Bugs At Work, after spotting a grasshopper near their cubby house.
That one tiny visitor sparked a whole lot of curiosity. The children headed into the sensory garden to search for more bugs, observe the world around them and talk about what they could see.
Over the past few months, their interest in insects and nature has continued to grow. This project gave them a fun way to learn through real-life experiences, while using careful eyes, gentle hands and lots of wonderful questions.
Mighty Meteors Take Their First Big Adventure
The Mighty Meteors also had a very exciting moment in April, heading off on their first excursion of the year to Niagara Park Public School’s Easter Hat Parade.
The children were able to connect with the local school community, walk in the parade with their educators and enjoy showing off their hats in a new setting. It was a big adventure, and one they were very proud to be part of.
Excursions like this help children build confidence, practise new routines and feel connected to the wider community around them.
Tiny Bugs, Big Adventures And Lots Of Heart
A clear theme across April was curiosity.
The children were curious about Easter stories, bugs in the garden, sensory play, and the wider world beyond the centre gate.
That is what makes learning at Little Miracles Niagara Park feel so natural. Children are encouraged to ask, explore, join in and have a go, whether they are holding a handmade Easter hat or carefully searching for a tiny creature in the garden.
