Little Heroes Raise Funds for Starlight at Little Miracles Kanwal

August at Little Miracles Kanwal was full of heroes, the tiny, caped kind and the gentle, chick-cuddling kind.

Here’s everything that made the month special.

Gentle Hands and Baby Chicks

The month’s sweetest moment came on our kindness in-house excursion.

Anna brought some lovely tiny visitors along: baby chicks! Before any pats or cuddles, the children had beautiful conversations about kindness and being gentle.

Then, going around the circle, everyone shared gentle hands, gentle words and something nice about their friends, along with a chick cuddle each. Hearts officially melted.

Superheroes in the Making

Next, the Amazing Asteroids got busy at the craft table with a very important mission.

The children made their very own paddle-pop-stick superheroes, capes, googly eyes and all, in preparation for our fundraiser the following week.

We couldn’t wait to see what superheroes our amazing friends would come dressed as. Because this wasn’t just dress-ups: together, we were raising funds for the wonderful Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Superhero Day for Starlight

Then came the big day itself: superhero day at Little Miracles Kanwal!

Masks were decorated, capes were donned and our little heroes assembled, all to raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation and help sick children and their families through Starlight’s wonderful work.

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference, and our families showed up beautifully. Thank you to everyone who supported our littlest heroes in helping children who need it most.

Book Week Day 4: Magical Characters Everywhere

To finish the month, Book Week brought a day full of magical characters and colourful adventures.

Our little bookworms brought Thelma the Unicorn, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Pete the Cat to life with the cutest costumes, while our educators fluttered in as beautiful butterflies.

We’re loving celebrating the joy of books, imagination and storytelling. And judging by the smiles, so is everyone else.

The Kindest Kind of Hero

August at Kanwal quietly taught our children what a hero really is.

Heroes use gentle hands, like the ones that cradled baby chicks. Heroes help others, like the little ones in capes raising funds for sick children through Starlight. And heroes come in every form, even a hungry caterpillar or a unicorn named Thelma.

No superpowers required. Just kindness, and our children have plenty of it.

No Cape Required

If your little hero is ready for chicks, capes and storybook adventures, come and visit Little Miracles Kanwal.
