July at Little Miracles Kanwal took the children around the world without leaving the centre. And somewhere along the way, an award nomination arrived too.

Little Scientists at Work
The Amazing Asteroids kicked off July deep in their STEM learning project. It has been all about science!
Gathered around the experiment table, the children have been investigating, experimenting and developing their scientific thinking.
Every test and every “what happens if…?” builds their knowledge and curiosity a little more. Lab coats pending.
The Cubby That Travelled the World
Next, the Mighty Meteors transformed their calm cubby into a space to travel around the world!
Greetings in different languages lined the walls, from “hello” to “namaste” to “kia ora”, inviting the children to explore different cultures and celebrate diversity.
Through imaginative and dramatic play, the children developed an appreciation for the unique traditions that make our world so special. Curiosity, creativity and respect for others, all inside one little cubby.
We’re Local Business Awards Finalists!
The same week brought some very exciting news.
Little Miracles Childcare Kanwal was named a finalist in the Central Coast Local Business Awards, in the Outstanding Early Childhood Centre category!

Songs, Stories and NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC Week brought a truly special visit to Kanwal.
We were so grateful to welcome one of our wonderful families, Sharon and Chloe, who joined us for song and story time, sharing beautiful songs from their culture and teaching us some of their language. The children loved learning, listening and joining in.
Sharon and Chloe also generously shared thoughtful gifts, which the children had so much fun exploring and getting creative with. Thank you both for sharing your culture, knowledge and traditions with us. What a meaningful experience.
Rainbow Milk and Big Discoveries
To finish the month, the Little Angels headed outside for a colourful STEAM experiment.
Armed with scoops and syringes, the children added coloured milk to oil and watched the magic happen, swirling patterns blooming across the trays.
They had a wonderful time experimenting with the different materials, creating exciting patterns and discoveries with every squeeze. Science has never looked so pretty.
A World of Wonder, Right Here in Kanwal
July at Kanwal was one big exploration.
The children explored the physical world through science experiments and rainbow milk. They explored the wider world through a travelling cubby and languages from every corner of the globe. And through Sharon and Chloe’s visit, they explored the oldest living culture on earth, right here at home.
No wonder the Local Business Awards took notice. This little centre holds a whole world inside it.
